Chaloner Middle sixth-graders along with the local non-profit Hope for Hardy, a local organ donor awareness group, released over 200 Painted Lady butterflies today in memory of Joseph Fahey who died earlier this year.

As a final act of kindness, JoJo’s organs were donated to others in need.

The CMS Art Club also presented Hope for Hardy with a check for $1,500 which was raised during a recent school dance to help other families in the future.

Students will also be planting two trees in late May on the campus to remember JoJo and another classmate Brett Peterson who died in October.

Hope for Hardy donated the butterflies.
