The Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the opening of two businesses and the renaming of another.
Roma’s Pizza Pasta and Subs
The restaurant is located at 1017 East Tenth Street — the former Domino’s building.
On hand along with chamber members were Zacharias Sitzanis — owner — Theodore “Nick” Papouloglou — owner — Nicole Zornes — server and cashier — Daniel Durham — owner — and Rosemarie Rakowski — owner.
They have take-out and delivery services.

Gentiva Hospice renaming
Gentiva Hospice, formerly Community Home Care & Hospice, based in Roanoke Rapids, had a celebration for its name change.
The celebration included having a letter read by Roanoke Rapids Mayor Emery Doughtie.
