Adam Newsome has been promoted to Fybe’s director of outside plant construction.

Fybe is a broadband service provider and a subsidiary of Roanoke Cooperative.

Newsome first joined the team in 2000 as a line technician and worked his way through the ranks, giving him a thorough understanding of Fybe’s service area and the many roles involved when planning fiber expansion projects, the company said.

In his new position, he’ll oversee the planning, implementation and maintenance of the outside plant network infrastructure. “With more than 20 years of experience on this team and in this industry, he’s a natural fit to take on this responsibility.”

Fybe COO Bo Coughlin said, “Adam’s comprehensive expertise makes him an asset as we continue expanding our fiber network in rural communities. We look forward to seeing his continued impact as he takes on this elevated key leadership role.”

The company said, “With Adam leading the construction initiative, the Fybe team is confident that even more communities will benefit from its services in the years to come.”
