Chipotle Mexican Grill is opening its first location in Roanoke Rapids Thursday.

The restaurant will feature the Chipotlane — a drive-thru pickup lane that allows guests to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.

The restaurant is located at 304 Premier Boulevard and will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

It will offer the new menu item called Chicken al Pastor, which is a protein option.

The company said the restaurant is hiring in Roanoke Rapids as well as across the country. There are on average 25 jobs per location with benefits.
