George Edward “Buck” Rose, 83, of Roanoke Rapids died Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.
Susan “Sis” Roberta Rook Woodard 57, of Henrico died Friday September 10, 2010 at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids. Susan was the daughter of the late James Robertson Rook and Allie Brewer Rook. She was also preceded in death by her step-father Shelton Woodrow Rook.
Mary Ruth Green Keeter, 91, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on September 9, 2010 at Halifax Regional Medical Center. Born February 24, 1919 in Halifax County, Mrs. Keeter was the daughter of the late Early Richard Green and Della Elizabeth Cook Green. She was married to the late Sam F. Keeter and had three sisters, Alice G. Smith, Elaine G. Hux, and Eunice G. Meads, all who preceded her in death. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, near Heathsville, NC. She retired from J.P. Stevens, and after retirement enjoyed selling vegetables at the farmers market.
John Gregory Reber 51, of 236 Old Farm Rd. died Saturday September 4, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. John was born July 17, 1959 to the late John Arnett Reber and Vivian Cook Reber who survives.
