Verlie Rose Cullom 64, of Roanoke Rapids died Friday May 17, 2012.

Verlie a native of Halifax County was the daughter of the late Freeman Lester and Blanche Mildred Johnson Rose. She was also preceded in death by her husband Grady Lassiter Cullom.

She is survived by her daughter Dawn E. Cullom and her partner Lindsey Brown of Roanoke Rapids; her sister Audrey R. Hux and her husband Lee of Roanoke Rapids; two brothers Lester Rose and his wife Sarah of Roanoke Rapids and Arthur Rose and his wife Jean of Cary. Two sister-in-laws Edith Jenkins and her husband Billy and Gwen Hubbard and her husband F.D. all of Lake Gaston; two brother-in-laws Phillip Cullom, Sr. and his wife Carnation and Davis Cullom and his wife Alice all of Roanoke Rapids and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
