Wanda Edwards Plyler, 76, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. 

Born on July 1, 1950 in Halifax County, Wanda was a beloved mother and grandmother, who will be remembered as a devoted woman whose greatest joy was spending time with the people she loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donnie Plyler Sr and her parents Jesse Edwards and Ruby Gray Edwards, and her sister Judy Phillips.

Left to cherish her memory are her three beloved sons Donnie Ray Plyler, Brad Plyler, and Travis Plyler. Along with her four grandchildren Ashley Plyler, Dalton Plyler, Mae Plyler and Kai Plyler; great grandchildren, Lakelynn Plyler, and Delilah Heustess. As well as her sister Ann Sledge and brother Willard Edwards.
