Eloise Hale Harris, 82, of Roanoke Rapids died Thursday August 13, 2020 at her home.

Eloise, a native of Halifax County, was the daughter of the late Lloyd Thomas and Ina Mae Blowe Hale. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Effie Mae Hale, her brother, Lewis Earl “Pudden” Hale and her faithful canines Romeo and Precious. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, George Bennett Harris, her daughter, Renee’ Harriott and her husband, Timothy of Morgan, Texas; step-sons, Floyd Harris and his wife, Cherie of Bolivia, NC and Wayne Harris and his wife, April of Roanoke Rapids; her grandchildren, Jodie Carlson, John Carlson and his wife, Kristen, Stephanie Heath and her husband, Brandon; Tyler Harris, Jerry and Melody, Floyd Harris, Jr., Brandi Harris, Bryan Harris, Kayla Bizzell and her husband, Tyler and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday August 16, 2020 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation in Roanoke Rapids with Pastor Jeremy Kobernat and Rev. Randy Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until service time on Sunday.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
