The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Josie, such as preparing meals, gardening, the lake, lending a helping hand, her friends and her family.

She loved fiercely; and she was very much loved. Josie was respectable, genuine, and noble, with a gracious, loving heart. She was “The Boss.”

There was only one way to do things; “Josie’s Way.” She will be dearly missed as she begins her new journey into Eternity.

Josie is survived by her daughter, Allyson Taylor of Midlothian, VA; her granddaughter, Angie Losch and her husband, Scott of Powhattan, VA; her five grandchildren, Dylan, Trevor, Walker, Kyle and Rachel; her sisters, Frances Moseley of Ahoskie and Jo Ann Hawley of Rocky Mount, NC.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2pm in the chapel of Askew Funeral Service with Rev. Stan Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
