Harvey Fleetwood Coggins, Jr. 61 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022. 

He was born in Halifax County in 1961 to the late Harvey Fleetwood Coggins, Sr. and Helen “Jan” Jeanette Harris Coggins.

Harvey was a 1979 graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School. He was the life of the party and loved golfing, cooking and hanging out with his friends. 

Harvey is survived by his brother, Stacy Coggins and his wife, Angela of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his nephews, Braxton Coggins and Ayden Coggins; his special cousin and best friend, Linda Clarke and her husband, Rodney of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his aunts, Kathy Pomerenke and her husband Rick of Blaine, Minnesota, Phyllis Casper and her husband, Jerry of Jacksonville, Florida and his uncle Johnny Coggins and his wife, Vicky of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. 

Funeral Services will be held on Friday August 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Askew Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Randy Martin officiating. 

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM until service time.
