Mrs. Mary Sasser Finch passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Lynchburg, VA. She was born August 24, 1924 in Roanoke Rapids to the late Albert and Lizzie Sasser.
Charles Collins Etheridge, 83, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Weldon.
Bessie Mae Davis Hardy, 89, of Stuart, Va. and formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. Mrs. Hardy was born May 30, 1923 in McDowell County, NC to the late Clyde and Ruby Parker Davis. Mrs. Hardy loved her flowers, her garden, going to church and going on rides. She also loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marland Perry Hardy; a son Sammy Hardy; and three sisters Francis, Dorothy, and Emma.
Ralph Waldron Burger, 78, of Henrico died Friday, April 5th at his home. Mr. Burger was born August 8, 1934 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Clarence and Gladys Spitzer Burger. Mr. Burger retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Helga Burger.
