Harriet Louise Van Dyne, 78, of Jackson, North Carolina, died October 12, 2011, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Van Dyne was a fairly new resident of Jackson, North Carolina, formerly of Ridgefield, New Jersey. For 40 years she was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Ridgefield where she taught Sunday School for many years and volunteered at a local soup kitchen feeding the homeless. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Saviour Episcopal Church in Jackson as well as an active member of Faisons Senior Center and Red Hat Ladies.
She was born August 24, 1933, to the late Albert Van Dyne and Charlotte Ross Van Dyne, and was also preceded in death by her nephew, Michael Stutmann, and grand nephew, Steven Stutmann.
Surviving Ms. Van Dyne are her sister, Shirley Stutmann, of Jackson; niece, Wanda Politi and husband, Anthony , of Fort Lee, New Jersey; nephew, Kenneth Stutmann and wife, Maxine, of Roanoke Rapids, and great grand nephew, Tyler Stutmann, of Chula Vista, California.
On Sunday, November 27, 2011, there will be a luncheon at 12:30 P.M. at the Church of the Saviour in Jackson followed by a 2:00 P.M. Memorial Service.
