Ronnie L. White, 65, died Thursday, August 02, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Ronnie was born in Halifax County January 30, 1947 to Lloyd Lee “Red” White and Mable Dunston White.  Before his illness, he was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business and loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Lee “Red” White.

Surviving are his mother, Mable Dunston White; daughter, Stephanie White Green and husband, Anthony; son, Troy Lee White; brother, Kenneth White and wife, Linda, and two sisters, Debbie White Grissom and husband, David, and Kathy Jones and husband, Nelson, all of Roanoke Rapids.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Allison and Cameron Green.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 4, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, one hour prior to a graveside service, which will be held by Assistant Pastor Doug Gross of Victory Baptist Church, at 11:00 am in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.

The family is also receiving friends at the home of Stephanie and Anthony Green at 5371 HWY 48, Roanoke Rapid
