Johnathan Henry Grundlock, 20, died September 29, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Johnathan was born February 19, 1992 to Thomas R. Carter III and Angelique Grundlock Carter in Halifax County. He loved westerns and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels.  Preceding in death is his aunt, Michelle Carter; grandfather, Tommy Carter, and great grandfather, Richard Clements

Surviving is his grandmother and caregiver, Linda Carter; parents, Thomas Carter and Angelique Grundlock Carter; brother, Thomas Carter; sisters, Brittney Carter and Alexis Carter; great grandmother, Margaret Clements; aunt, Amy DeBerry; uncle, Richard Carter and nephew, Corbin Carter, all of Roanoke Rapids.  He is also survived by and loved by many great aunts and uncles, and many cousins.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, which is handling arrangements, from 7-8:30 pm.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00 am in the chapel at Hockaday’s, officiated by Pastor Doodle Smith.  Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids.
