Alan Ralph Stallings, 56, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in his Roanoke Rapids home.

Alan was born in Halifax County on December 2, 1962, the son of James Rogers Stallings and Sylvia Mabry Stallings. 

Music was Alan’s life and he enjoyed all aspects of it, including singing with his family.  

He also loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his brother, Tony Stallings (Becky) of Aurelian Springs; sisters, Janice Shearin (Sammy) of Roanoke Rapids and Kathy Walker of Seaboard; niece, Candace Morgan (Josh) of Roanoke Rapids; nephews, Dustin Walker of Seaboard, Wes Shearin (Natalee) of Roanoke Rapids; special cousin, Kay Day of Ocala, FL; uncle, Robert Stallings; aunt, Christine Pike, both of Macon.   

In addition to his parents, Alan was predeceased by his grandparents, Ralph and Gladys Mabry and Joe and Hope Stallings.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 – 8 pm Saturday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday at Harris Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Howell presiding.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
