Nathan Alexander Taylor, 14, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

He was beloved by his entire family — his mother, Patricia Melton Taylor, and father, Christopher Graham Taylor’s joy to raise.  

He has two siblings, Elise and John, along with their father, John Folliard.  

Nathan is also survived by his grandparents, Steve and Teresa Melton; Kim Taylor, Jimmy Graham Taylor and Sharon.  

His great-grandparents are Neva Melton, Billy Melton and Ernestine, Ann Closson, Patricia Pierce, and Raymond Hewitt.  

He is a nephew and cousin to the Hewitt and Taylor families; Joshua Melton, Veronica, James and Rebecca Emery, Jackson and Drew.  

His best friend was Hayden.

Nathan was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Henry Closson, and great-grandmother, Katherine Taylor.   

Nathan was a member of Good News Baptist Church.  He was a freshman at Roanoke Rapids High School, where he was involved in the school choir.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.

The service to celebrate Nathan’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Good News Baptist Church, with Pastors Jimmy King and Steve Melton presiding.  Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
