Mr. Robert Lineburg Hux, 87, of Roanoke Rapids died February 10, 2020 at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Mr. Hux was born April 12, 1932 in Halifax County, the son of Robert S. and Effie Rowland Hux.  His parents; wife, Faye; sons, Reagan and Kerry; brother, Milbert; and an infant brother, all preceded him in death. 

A retired supervisor from JP Stevens, he enjoyed gardening and farming, readily sharing his bounty with others.  He also liked tinkering with old cars and tractors. Mr. Hux was a US Army veteran.

Mr. Hux was a member of Good News Baptist Church, and loved his special friends there, Pastor Jimmy King and the church members.

Survivors include two sons, Stuart Hux and Curt Hux; brothers, Charles “Frog” Hux and Percy Ray Hux; sister, Hazel Foster; grandchildren, Michael (Andi) Hux, Britteny Hux, Timothy Hux, Fabio Hux, Jennifer Hux, Kerry Luter, Charles Gage Hux, Christian Hux; great-grandchildren, Colby, Logan, Riley, Jaden, Kenna and Reagan.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 – 8 pm Thursday at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.  At other times, the family will be at the residence of Michael and Andi Hux, on E. Chaloner Drive.

The service for Mr. Hux will be held at 11:00 am Friday at Good News Baptist Church, with Pastor Jimmy King presiding.  Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery.
