Richard McCrae Odom, 80 of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026. 

Richard was born on July 18, 1945, in Warren County, North Carolina. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Margaret Odom and his brother Charles F. Odom.

He is survived by his wife Ann, stepson Kevin Smith (Jennie), sisters Patricia Odom Hawkins (Richard), Susan Lewis (Billy), grandchild Ashely Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother; he served his country in the United States Air Force, he loved to do woodworking projects. He was a member of Twin City Rifle Club, American Legion Post 38 and 95th Squadron model airplane club.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2026 in Littleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Porter officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
