Thomas R. "TR" Lewis, and his wife, Carole S. Lewis, both of Roanoke Rapids died within days of one another.  

TR died on Monday, October 29, 2018 at home, and Carole died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at WakeMed Raleigh Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis are survived by a son, Timmy Lewis and wife, Linda of Roanoke Rapids.  Mrs. Lewis is also survived by a brother, Marshall Shearin of Roanoke Rapids; sisters, Debbie Sanders and husband, Wayne of Littleton, Dawn Wray and husband, Joe of Weldon; step-grandchild Mark Wollerman; nieces and nephews Chad Wray, Kim Bolte, Chelsea Sanders, and Caleb Sanders.  

Mr. Lewis is also survived by a brother, Wayne Lewis of Roanoke Rapids; and nephew, Chris Lewis.

The funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will be held at 5:00 pm Thursday, November 8th, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.  

The family will receive friends following the service.
