William “Bill” Lawrence Tripp, Jr., 82, died at Kindred Hospital Greensboro Tuesday, November 24, 2020.

Mr. Tripp was born April 16, 1938 in Halifax County, son to the late William Lawrence Tripp, Sr. and Lila Blanche Weiss Tripp. 

He loved country living and the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

He also served his country proudly as a veteran of the United States Navy.  

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tripp was preceded in death by sisters, Yvonne Slagle and Carol Lambert. 

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Joanne Tripp of the home; sons, Greg Tripp and wife Dawn, of Tempe Arizona, Jeff Tripp and wife Cindy of Henrico, NC; sister, Beverly Etheridge and husband, Cecil of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren, Joe Tripp, Hannah Tripp and Madeline Tripp. Also surviving are many, special nieces and nephews.

Due to CDC and State restrictions because of Covid 19, the family will have a private graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Tripp at a later date.
