Charles Michael “Mike” Butler, 66, died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Vidant North Hospital in Roanoke Rapids. 

Mike was born, December 28, 1953, in Texas to the late Charles “Boo Boo” Butler and Frances “Peggy” Butler. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Butler.

Surviving are his daughters, Malorie Butler Curley and husband, Joshua, of Wendell, NC and Lindsey C. Rowland and husband, Jason, of Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Holden Michael Curley, Cash Michael Rowland, Josie Christenbury and Gabriel Rowland. Also surviving are his dog, Whiskey and the “Free Thinkers” at the Shack.

The family will have a gathering to remember Mike’s life Monday, December 21, 2020, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service beginning at 1:00 pm. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested making memorial contributions to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105
