Martha Vivian Lewter DeBerry, 90, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Carolina Rest Home.

Martha was born May 27, 1930 in Northampton County to the late Edgar Thomas Lewter and Willie Clarence Flyth. She was also preceded by her husband, Francis Foster "Buck" DeBerry;  her brothers, Henry Lewter and William Lewter; her sister, Alice Outlaw.

Martha attended South Rosemary United Methodist Church. She worked as a seamstress and was also a homemaker. 

Martha is survived by her children, Larry DeBerry and his wife Kathy and Joey DeBerry and his wife Sandra both of Roanoke Rapids and Carol D. Benoit of Las Vegas, NV; her brother Bailey Lewter and his wife Betty Jean of Ocala, Fl; her grandchildren, Sondra LaFlaure, Patrick Benoit, Brandy Lawrence and Kristen Hardee; and Nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021at Crestview Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Sue Owens officiating.
