He was a 2014 graduate of Western Harnett High School; and a December 2018 graduate of Nash Community College.

He was a Dean’s List student, and received an Associate Degree in Science.

Timmy was employed at Lawn Pro Yard Care in Tarboro.

Timmy also went by the nicknames “Worm” and “Hot Rod.”

Timmy was once told by his 4th grade teacher that he was a “Mathematical Genius”. (That turned out to be true!)

Timmy’s favorite pastimes were video games and eating, and eating, and eating!

He was never one to know a stranger and had a compassion for people that were “down and out.”

If he had money in his pocket he would share it with others to the point of being broke himself.  He had a smile that would light up the room.

Timmy is survived by his mother, Kristina Bockstedt (Billy Chappell) of Rocky Mount; his father, Tim Barber, Jr. (Denise) of Sanford; brother, Justin Davis of Michigan; maternal grandmother, Juanita Cooke of Rocky Mount; paternal grandfather, Tim Barber, Sr. of Roanoke Rapids; aunt, Tina Chamblee (Kyle) of Sanford; uncles, Richard Perry of Pinetops, Ralph Bodnar (Sheryl) of Columbus, OH; cousins, Shannon, Audrey, Chrissy, Shelia, Shelly, Vera, Sherry and Stefanie.

Timmy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Raymond Cooke; paternal grandmother, Virginia Barber; and aunts, Sheila Barber Rose and Cindy Barber Collins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 13, 2021, from 12 noon until 2:00 pm at Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service.  The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm from the graveside at Cedarwood Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Little presiding.
