Wesley Clee Harsh, 80, of Roanoke Rapids passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at his home.
Wesley was born August 16, 1941, in Halifax County to the late Odbert Clee Harsh and Susie I. Shaw Harsh.
Wesley was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He retired from International Paper after forty-four years. He loved his work and his work friends. Wesley loved his family more than anything and was a wonderful father and husband.

Wesley is survived by his wife Phyllis Cooke Harsh; his children, Adrianne Shearin and her husband Tony of Roanoke Rapids, Velvie Zabel and her husband Nate of Red Oak, Renee Hoggard and her husband Chris of Roanoke Rapids, Stacey Harsh of Arizona and Greg Harsh of Southport and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 28, 2022, in the chapel of Hockaday Funeral and Cremation Service with Rev. Sue Owens and Rev. Patrick Bernicki officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
The family requests that everyone in attendance wear a mask.
