Novella Shaw Deloatch, 94 of Roanoke Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in ECU Health North Medical Center.
Ms. Deloatch was born on April 23, 1928 in Chatham County, the daughter of the late Charles Shaw. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Marvin Deloatch, Sr.
Surviving include her son James “Jim” Marvin Deloatch, Jr. of Old Fort, NC, her grandchildren Lauren Elizabeth Deloatch and Michael David Deloatch.

The family would like to say a special thanks to the following people for their care over the past several years, her niece Kay Powers, her nephews Walter Shaw and Kenny Deloatch, and her neighbor Mary Mead.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:00 PM.
