Elma Lillian Aberts Richardson 

December 12, 1943 - October 21,2023

Elma Lillian Aberts Richardson 79 was born in Lancaster County, PA on December 12, 1943 to the late Mable Aberts and Alfonzo Salvador.   

She departed her life peacefully on October 21, 2023, at her home in Enfield, NC. 

Elma worked as an RN nurse for 35 years at The Duke Convalescent Nursing Home in Lancaster, PA. 

Then she embraced the position as a patient Activities Coordinator and Dietician for 8 years at The Village Vista in Centerville, PA, and an Activities Coordinator at The Oak Leaf Manor in Millersville, Pa for 5 years. 

She was passionate about taking care of elderly people and treated them like family. 

Elma was also a pastor’s wife for 40 years. 

Her crafty side was captured through making native doll clothing and dream catchers. 

She loved coloring with her grandchildren, baking for the holidays, putting together puzzles, reading romance novels, and solving word searches. 

Her all-time favorite was pushing that shopping cart around Walmart for hours and watching Jerry Springer. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons Victor Richardson Jr., Allen Richardson, and daughter Amanda Richardson. 6 grandchildren, Erika Francine, Devon Mosher, Tierra Newport, Jay Richardson, Vincent Jr. Richardson, and Lindsay Sensenig, VaNeace Richardson; great grandchildren, Jalissa Henriquez, CeCe Richardson, Jayden Henriquez, Amaya Richardson, Arianna Richardson, Haizley Darcus, and great grand baby Darcus to be, and brother George Aberts. 

Elma was preceded in death by her late husband Elder Victor Richardson Sr., son Vincent Richardson Sr., brother William, sisters Delores, Edith, Sherry, Shirley, Emmajean, and Clara. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in Faith Baptist Missionary Church with Pastor Anthony Tucker officiating.  

A burial will follow in the church cemetery.  

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.  Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com
