Roger Anderson Miles, 89, of Gaston, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 in Hampton Manor Nursing Home in Gaston, NC.  

Mr. Miles was born on December 17, 1933 in Northampton County, the son of the late Lottie Birdsong Miles and John Joseph Miles.  He was also preceded in death by his grandson Steven Love.

Surviving include his daughter Lottie Nelson, his sons:  John Miles (Margaret) and Bobby Miles (Tammy), his grandchildren:  Zachary Miles, Ashley Miles, Jennifer Brewer, and Christopher Love; and his great grandchildren:  Rolando Rojas, Juliana Rojas, Jesus Rojas, Nolani Sterling, Gabriel Cole, Emmanuel Cole, Morgan Brewer, Kevin Brewer, Addison Brewer, McKenzie Brewer, Chloe Love, and Ruby Mae Miles.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM in Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Jason Yeatts officiating.  

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM.
