Charles “Shorty” R. Parks, Jr., 93, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at his home.
He was born in Northampton County September 6, 1930, to the late Charlie Reuben Parks and Clara Alice Wade Parks.
He is also preceded in death by his brothers James W. Parks and Perry Parks, and his sisters Ola Mae Draper and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins.

Charles was a member of Littleton Baptist Church and the American Legion.
Charles is survived by his wife Priscilla; his son Larry Parks of Greenville, NC; his daughter Anita Hill (Carl) of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren Caitlin Gabriel (Zach) and Madison Nicole Hill; great grandchildren Davis Gabriel and Tate Gabriel; his brother Mike Parks (Sally) of Lexington, SC.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Littleton Baptist Church with The Rev. David Little and Rev. Mike Currin officiating.
Interment will be at 4:00PM at Creeksville Baptist Church Cemetery in Conway.
A visitation will be 6:00 PM-8 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
