Margaret Oliver Draper 86 of Roanoke Rapids, NC passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her residence on Tuesday June 26, 2024.  

Margaret was born on March 12, 1938, in Clayton, NC. 

She is preceded by her parents William F. Oliver and Essie A. Ivey, her brothers Willard Oliver, Thomas Oliver, and Billy Oliver.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 66 years Rusty Draper, her daughters Jacqueline Lewis (Rick), Sandee Lyles (Jack), grandchildren Jessica (Carlos), Jonathan (Leah), Kimberly, Lindsey and Amy (Taylor), great grandchildren Isaac, Abram, Isabella and Benji, her brother Charles Oliver (Ann), sister Mildred Tippett and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of William R. Davie High School (1956), she loved working with children, she wrote plays and planned fashion shows for the K-Dog Players (Kids Depending on God), and she had a strong love for animals.

Margaret and Rusty traveled the world during their life together, they loved each other unconditionally.

Funeral service will be held on Friday June 28, 2024, at 2:00pm at Good News Baptist Church, visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and interment will follow the service at Crestview Cemetery.  Pastor Jimmy King will be presiding over the services.
