Gregory Coleman Wright, 74 of Halifax, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 in his home.  Mr. Wright was born on July 12, 1950 in Roanoke Rapids, the son of the late Lillie Acree Wright and William “Buck” Coleman Wright.   

He was also preceded in death by his son Scott Coleman Wright.

Mr. Wright was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a member of Weldon United Methodist Church.

Surviving include his wife Julia “Judy” Wright, his daughter Jamie Wright Glasgow, his brother David Wright (Joni), his sister Debra Wright Inscoe (Chuck), his grandchildren Coleman Warren Glasgow, Sr. and Sasha Wright, and his great grandson Coleman Warren Glasgow, Jr.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2025 in Cedarwood Cemetery with Rev. Sue Owens officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service.
