It is with great sorrow that the family announces that Marie Margaret Taylor Green, 63, passed away at her home on December 19, 2025, with her family by her side. 

Marie was born on December 18,1962 in Germany to the late David and Margaret Kestler, and worked in tobacco fields years ago, until she became disabled. Some of her favorite interests were fishing, going to the beach, and gambling. 

She was preceded in death by her father, David Kestler; mother, Marg Kestler; and brother, George Kestler.

Marie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Olya Thomas “Tony” Green, with whom she shared 40 years of her life; sons, Michael Taylor, Timothy Taylor, Stephen Taylor, and Kelvin Green; brother, Victor Kestler; mother-in-law, Joyce Parrish Brown; aunt, Sarah “Puddin” Rose; brother-in-law, Thomas Olya Green; best friend, Tammy Fuller, and many other extended family and friends. 

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025, in the visitation parlor of Wrenn Funeral Home, 1015 West 5th Street Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870. 

Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Pastor Tony Smith officiating.
