David Neil Hammack, 65, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away on December 28, 2025.
He was born to Mary E. Hammack and the late Carlton L. Hammack, on April 2, 1960, in Williamsburg, VA, and lived a life devoted to his family.
David was a dedicated member of East Tenth Street Christian Church, where he once served as a deacon and elder.
He worked closely with his family through their Roanoke Rapids businesses, including E.Q. Muffler Service, HESCO, and SEMCO. He enjoyed hunting, firearms, NASCAR, and family vacations to the beach, where many treasured memories were made.

Above all, David’s greatest joy was his family. He was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great grandfather who cherished time spent with loved ones.
David leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Lisa Love Hammack; son, Jonathan Hammack (Meggon); daughters, Lauren H. Martin (Nathan) and Kristen H. Harris (Thomas); grandchildren, Cheyanne Harris (Austin), Natalie Finch (Josh), T.J. Harris, Madison Martin, Avery Hammack, Ava and Jackson Martin (twins), Zoey Rolfe, and Paxton Hammack; great-grandchild, Tatum McLeod; brothers, Steve Hammack (Donna) and Pat Hammack; sister, Cheryl H. Morris (Doug); sister-in-law, Barbara L. Lee (Larry); many nieces and nephews, Melissa L. Woodruff (Gavin), Lindsey L. Purser (Daniel), Steven Hammack (Melonie), Cory Hammack, Ryan Hammack, Jamie Bryant (Jake), Tristan Morris (Madalynn), Hamilton Morris (Skylar), and Patrick Hammack; and many extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
David will be remembered as a faithful servant, a devoted husband and father, proud grandfather, and a man whose quiet strength and steady presence touched many lives.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Wrenn Funeral Home, 1015 W. 5th Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC, with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of David to East Tenth Street Christian Church.
