Lofton Maddrey Pulley, 88, of Pleasant Hill, passed away peacefully at home April 1, 2026.
He was born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, on February 18, 1938, to Frank J. and Eunice C. Pulley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Leonard Pulley, Leora Shelburne, and Loretta Pulley.
Lofton retired from Champion International after over 40 years of service and was a faithful member of the First Evangelical Methodist Church in Gaston for over 60 years.

He loved his family immensely and his great grandchildren brought him great joy in his later years.
Lofton loved telling stories of the "good old days", trips to the Outer Banks, working in his garden, cutting his grass, and taking daily trips around the homeplace in his Kawasaki Mule with Tweet.
Lofton was a renowned jokester, playing practical jokes on his family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 65 years, Cynthia; children, Susan Storey and husband, Ronnie, of Pleasant Hill, and Richard Pulley and wife, Donna, of Littleton; grandchildren, Caleb Shell (Taylor), their daughter, Ava; Justin Pulley (Alyssa) and their daughter, Avery; Lindsey Rowland and daughters, Bryar and Payton; Amanda Dixon (Timmy) and children, Kiersten, Rylan and Bryleigh; Tabitha Bowser (Aaron) and children, Arrionna and Reagan; Josh Blackman (Allison) and Luke Blackman (Cassidy). Also surviving are his sister, Louise Wilkins and sister-in-law, Sarah Pulley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 4, from 12 to 1:45, at Wrenn Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 2, officiated by Pastor Matt Reider.
