Sylvia “Ann” Gilliland Livesay, 74, passed away on Tuesday April 7, 2026. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wade Livesay, parents, Sarah and Joseph Gilliland and brother, Joseph Howard Gilliland Jr “Peanut”. 

Ann is survived by her son, Kevin Wade Livesay (Diane), granddaughters, Kelsey (Brandon), Kourtney, Lauren and Logan (Rodreeck), great grandchildren, Tristian, Brynleigh and Reyna, sister, Jean Wright (Eddie) her beloved bird, Cash and numerous nieces, nephews, sister and brother in laws. 

Ann also loved her oncology nurses, they called her “Rocky” 

Ann was married to her husband Larry Wade Livesay for 47 years. 

She was a member of Gaston Church of Christ. Sylvia loved the beach, reading, tanning and makeup. She enjoyed boxed wine and never traveled anywhere without her lipstick. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Wrenn Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Wrenn Funeral Home starting at 1:00pm with Pastor Matthew Reider officiating.

Interment will follow at Old Cedarwood Cemetery.
