Mary Thortis Warwick, 91, of Weldon, NC, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Liberty Commons.

Mrs. Warwick was born in Halifax County, NC, the daughter of the late William Thortis and Lucy Goodman Thortis. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Jimmie O. Warwick. 

She retired from J. P. Stevens & Co., with over 30 years of service.

Surviving Mrs., Warwick, are: two sons, Jimmie B. Warwick and his wife Betty of Roanoke Rapids, NC and William Marion Warwick and his wife Betsy, of Nashville, NC; a sister, Pauline Smith, of Littleton, NC; four grandchildren, Gina Cain and her husband Andy, Stacey Gainey and her husband Will, Shannon Pitt, Mary Thompson and her husband Greg; five great grandchildren, Hannah Cain, Jackson Gainey, Chandler Pitt, Conner Pitt and Nola Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Wrenn Clarke & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service, with Minister Daniel West and Rev. Andy Cain officiating. 

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC. The Family will receive at the funeral home for one hour prior to the services.
