Carl Thurston Aycock, 81, of Roanoke Rapids, NC died Monday, April 20, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Aycock, was born in Halifax County, NC the son of the late Claude Kitchen and Virginia Conner Aycock. 

He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a retired employee of International Paper.

Surviving are: his wife Linda Tetherow Aycock; two daughters, Ginny Bolton and her husband Lenwood, Carla Manning and her husband Monty, all of Gaston, NC; a brother Roy Aycock of Gaston, NC ; three grandchildren, Jesse Aycock of Ashburn, VA, Justin Bolton, Jude Manning both of Gaston, NC and several nieces and nephews. 

A private graveside service will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, Thursday, with military honors and with Dr. Julian Mills officiating.

A Celebration of Carl’s life will be held at a later date, once the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
