Margie Ann Black Wrenn, 85, of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, April 8, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Hector McBride Black and the late Ollie Faison Black.

Margie attended Roanoke Rapids High School but left in 1953 to marry the love of her life, Woodrow W. Wrenn, Jr. They were married for 65 years.

Margie was a homemaker and was employed at various retail establishments in Roanoke Rapids and Weldon as well as in the hospitality industry in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Margie is survived by her beloved son Greg and his wife Lori, grandson Daniel and his fiancée Adriana, great grandsons Greyson and Adrian, and sister Jane Black Gorris. She is also survived by her beloved niece, Lorrie Summer, Several nephews and other family members.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by her brothers Carlton and Edward Black and her sister Arlene Black Miller and husband Ron.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to many friends who loved and cared for Margie. John and Jean McGee, Ronnie and Wendy Holt, Bryan and Debbie Griffies, Carla Smith, Dolly Matthews and Paula Sarette were her angels.

Interment will be private.
