The Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets 12U Allstar travel baseball team finished their fall season with a 2nd place finish in their division at the Top Gun World Series in Goldsboro this weekend.
In their 6th game in a 48-hour span the Jackets came up just short in the championship game losing to an organization from Zebulon, NC. In just their second season the jackets finished with an overall record of 10-3 including 2 championships and 1 runner-up finish.
As always this group wants to thank its community supporters including Sheriff Wes Tripp, Merritt Piping, MJ Price Construction, Rightmyer Machine Rentals, Rheasville Truck and Auto, Farm Bureau Insurance (Ricky Barnes), and Patton Mechanical.
After a brief holiday break the team will start winter work-outs in January and continue their run in the spring on the way to the SE Regional All-star Tournament in Roanoke Rapids next summer.
