dRoanoke Rapids High School Alumnus and current Barton College baseball standout Colby Warren is headed to Miami to particapate in the 2018 World Power Showcase in December .
The 13th Annual World Power Showcase is being held in Miami at Marlins Park on December 27th to the 31st 2018. The event features the most prolific amateur players from around the world and provides the perfect center-stage opportunity in which to demonstrate their skill-sets in a major league stadium.
The Power Showcase has announced that Warren, has been named to the 13th Annual Power Showcase National Team. Each player is personally selected by the Power Showcase based on their abilities, power, scout references, school and showcase tournament performances.
As part of the World Power Showcase that Warren is attending, they ask that you choose a person in your community that has special needs and you hold a fundraiser for that person as a way to give back. Warren, chose Brody Holt, Warren's family has known the Holt family thier whole lives and knew this was a perfect fit for him to hold a fundraiser for Brody.
Warren needs your help to make this fundraiser a success for Brody. Warren is holding a "Homerun's that Helps" event Sunday November 25th at TJ Davis Doyle baseball field. Warren's familty also wants anyone that wants to participate in the "Homerun's that Help" of all ages to come out. The field will be marked per your age, to participate please contact Shannon (252)326-9318 (by text ) baseball and softball $15 entry fee.
As we get more people involved in the "Homerun's that help", more money can be raised. You can make pledges as to how many Homerun's that you think that participate will hit in the 25 pitched to them. This will be a fun event for everyone! So please sign up to participate and to make pledges.
Remember for every $100 a single person donates Shannon Warren will give them a dozen Gourmet Cupcakes. Also they will have concessions opened and will be doing other raffles like 50/50 and prizes. Come out and let's makes this a success for Brody!
