When Koraan Clemonts played his last game for Weldon in 2016 there were a lot of people who knew that he would continue to pursue his passion for the game of basketball.

Even though his college experience started off rough with Shaw not fulfilling their scholarship offer and then having to sit out a year at Winston Salem State University, Clemonts refused to give up.

After having been influenced by fellow Charger Malik Peebles Koraan enrolled at Wake Tech. For the next 2 years under the watchful eye of Coach Wainwright and his staff he was able to enjoy two tremendous years as an Eagle. Koraan and his teammates went on to win their division championship.

Since he still had a couple of years of eligibility left Clemonts accepted the invitation to join the St. Augustine's University Falcons.

So on this past Tuesday Koraan helped his team to a come from behind win against a fiercely Lincoln (Pa) University team.

When interviewed after the game Cleared said that neither he or his teammates were ready to go home. On Wednesday against #1 Johnson C. Smith the Falcons came up short losing 70-68. With this experience I am sure that Clemonts is determined to returning to the CIAA next season.

The entire Charger family is proud of Koraan and positive message his college experiences are sending to other student-athletes.
