Game one

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity Claims Lead in Fourth Inning to Defeat J.F. Webb

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-1 victory over J.F. Webb on Thursday. The game was tied at one with Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity batting in the bottom of the fourth when Meredith Wilson singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Lily Curtis struck out one, while Marissa Carroll sat down zero.

Curtis was credited with the victory for Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity. She surrendered one run on three hits over five innings, striking out one.

Carroll took the loss for J.F. Webb. She surrendered three runs on eight hits over four innings.

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat to J.F. Webb on Thursday. The game was tied at five with J.F. Webb batting in the bottom of the fourth when Skye Frazier singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity put up five runs in the third inning. Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets Varsity's big inning was driven by singles by Karlee Hammack and Lizzy Colston.
