The Roanoke Rapids Varsity Lady Yellow Jackets easily did away with Halifax Academy 11-1 on Friday night.

The Lady Yellow Jackets fired up the offense in the first inning. Karlee Hammack drove in one when Hammack doubled.

Roanoke Rapids put up four runs in the sixth inning. The rally was led by a single by Hammack, a home run by Kalissa Williams, and an error on a ball put in play by Logan Storey.

Williams was credited with the victory for Roanoke Rapids Varsity Yellow Jackets. The hurler went five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out five.

Roanoke Rapids smacked one home run on the day. Williams had a homer in the sixth inning. The Lady Yellow Jackets scattered 14 hits in the game. Lauren Garner, Kaysie Summerlin, Hammack, and Williams all managed multiple hits for Roanoke Rapids. Summerlin and Garner each managed three hits to lead the Yellow Jackets.
