Friday's game against Wayne Christian Eagles was a heartbreaker for the Halifax Academy Lady Vikings, as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat.

The game was tied at five with Wayne Christian batting in the top of the seventh when.

Wayne Christian got things moving in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Lady Eagles. In the bottom of the fifth inning, theLady Vikings tied things up at five. Berkley Garner drove in two when Garner homered.

Lilly Britt got the win for Wayne Christian. The righthander lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out five. Ashlyn Cooke took the loss for Halifax Academy. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing six runs on ten hits and striking out seven.

Halifax Academy tallied one home run on the day. Garner went yard in the fifth inning. Halifax Academy tallied seven hits on the day. Cooke and Alexus Roundtree all managed multiple hits for the Vikings. Cooke led Halifax with three hits in four at bats.
