Halifax Academy Middle School softall team claimed a 16-6 victory on Tuesday, despite a big push by Wayne Christian Middle School Eagles in the third inning.

Halifax Academy collected eight hits and Wayne Christian Middle School Eagles two in the high-scoring affair Halifax Academy got things moving in the first inning.

Halifax scored one run when Karson Ricks singled. Payton Odom got the win for Halifax Academy. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Scarlett Harris threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Halifax Academy totaled eight hits. Scarlett Harris and Karson Ricks each racked up multiple hits for Halifax Academy.
