Brothers charged in Franklin St. B&E

Two brothers have been charged in a July 24 residential break-in, according to the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.

The state Highway Patrol has released the name of a 22-year-old woman who was killed in a car crash Monday afternoon.

A woman died and a man is in serious condition following a crash this afternoon.

Main Street Roanoke Rapids has made significant strides in the last fiscal year, its development director, Christina Caudle, said in her annual report this evening.

Purnell, Johnson surrender

Trayvon Purnell and his his girlfriend, Jessica Denise Johnson, surrendered to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office Friday afternoon.
