One of the men wanted in a Saturday night drive-by shooting in which two people were injured voluntarily surrendered to the Enfield Police Department Sunday afternoon.

Chief Tyree Davis said in a statement Ton’Nazzi Armstrong, 19, was jailed on $500,000 bond and faces two counts of attempted murder, felony conspiracy, and felony discharging a firearm as part of criminal street gang activity.

He surrendered to Detective Willie Murphy Jr. around 4 p.m. He has an October 4 court date.

Davis said it was not clear whether Armstrong left town following the Saturday shooting, which occurred around 7:30 p.m. Other than the warrants filed, he said it was not clear what prompted him to surrender.

The police department continues to look for Tony Hill Jr., 21.

Hill, who was one of several charged in a 2015 murder in Enfield, is wanted for two counts of attempted murder, possession of firearm by felon, felony conspiracy, and felony discharging a firearm as part of criminal street gang activity.

He tends to frequent areas of Enfield and Rocky Mount.

One shooting victim is still listed in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.

The drive-by occurred on Weeks Street.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hill is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers for a cash reward at 252-583-4444 or Central Dispatch at 252-583-1991.
