On Wednesday around 8:53 p.m., Officer T. Revis responded to an assault call in the 300 block of Woodlawn Avenue.
Revis arrested Kenya Cominque Mills, 25, of Roanoke Rapids, and Jovonte Dias Goode, 26, of Weldon.
Both Mills and Goode were taken before a magistrate where Mills was charged with simple assault and Goode was charged with assault on a female.
Both were jailed without opportunity for bond and have July 22 court dates.

On Thursday around 11:13 p.m., Coles responded to a local hotel in the 1600 block of Julian R. Allsbrook Highway on an assault call.
Coles arrested Tyrone Marquette Mills, 40, of Roanoke Rapids.
Coles discovered Mills was wanted for a probation violation.
Mills was charged with assault on a female and the probation violation.
He was jailed without opportunity for bond on the assault charge and received a $3,000 secured bond for the probation violation.
He has a July 20 court date.
