Britney Shaw, wanted in the theft of an iPod Touch, turned herself into the Halifax County Sheriff's Office Saturday.

Detective J.M. Clark said she was released on $1,000 bond.

Shaw, of Roanoke Rapids, was wanted after she and a friend who was arrested last week, allegedly stole an iPod Touch from the friend's relative and sold it.

Shaw's friend, Matthew Scott Gay, 22, faces charges of obtaining property by false pretense, larceny and possession of stolen property. He was served warrants for the iPod theft last week in jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges.

Shaw faces charges of obtaining property by false pretense, aid and abet larceny and possession of stolen property. She and Gay both have September 25 court dates.
