Man jailed on $100K bond after chase

A Littleton area man is in jail on $100,000 bond after allegedly intentionally crashing his car into his girlfriend's car this morning and then leading officers on a high-speed chase that ended at his home on Roper Springs Road.

Raphael DeMichael Faulcon Jr., 19, faces numerous charges in the chase that began following the wreck at Old Farm Road and Becker Drive. The reported intentional crash also caused another car to wreck and near the end of the chase Faulcon intentionally struck a Roanoke Rapids patrol car. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office and state Highway Patrol assisted.

Captain Andy Jackson of the Roanoke Rapids Police Department said Faulcon allegedly rammed his vehicle into his girlfriend's car as the result of a domestic dispute. No one was injured.

Faulcon faces the following charges:

Two counts of hit and run.

Failure to heed for blue light and siren.

Three counts flee to elude arrest.

Five counts of reckless driving to endanger.

Three counts fail to stop for stop sign or flashing red light.

Two counts fail to stop for red light.

Three counts of speeding.

One count resist a public officer.

One count fail to stop for steady red light.

Two counts assault with a deadly weapon.

One count following too closely.

He has a March 5 court date.
