Detective J.M. Clark of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said it was unclear whether the vehicle was locked or unlocked.
The break-in occurred in the Hobgood area in the early morning hours of March 25.
Clark said Bobby Worthington Jr., 21, allegedly used the stolen card to obtain money.
He faces charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, financial card theft, identity theft, and obtaining property by false pretenses.
The warrants were served Monday by the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office.
Worthington received a $2,500 bond, pending a July 9 court date.
